The leg extension is an isolation exercise which focuses on building strength and muscle tone in the lower body. It predominantly targets the quads in the front of the thigh above the knee.
Ensure you have adjusted the seat to sit with your back flush against the support and your knees bent at a 90-degree angle. The leg pad should sit comfortably over your ankles, with your feet facing forwards in a neutral position. When you’re ready to begin the exercise, grip the bars on either side of the seat and engage your quads to extend your legs until fully extended - hold this position for a brief moment, then return your legs to the starting position.
